The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, arrested a teen as a result of an ongoing investigation into the murder of a 16-years-old male.
According to investigators, the two teenagers were involved in a verbal dispute that escalated into a physical confrontation. Once the altercation ended, the 16-years-old victim was walking away, when the subject produced a firearm and shot the victim in the back of the head. The subject fled the scene in an unknown direction. While investigators continued to follow all leads, the subject responded to the Homicide Bureau, where he provided a video recorded statement detailing his involvement. He was placed under arrest and charged accordingly. The subject was transported the Juvenile Assessment Center.
